MONUMENTS

There’s a fascinating walking route that starts from the B&B towards the nearby Basilica di St. Croce in Gerulasemme, continue through the Mura Aureliane arriving direclty at the majestic Basilica di San Giovanni, to then immerse yourself in the characteristic via San Giovanni in Laterano, and visit the Basilica di San Clemente and its famous undergrounds, from which, just 250 meters away, you’ll find the Colosseum and the ancient Foro Romano.

For lovers of walking, even in bicycle, do not miss the nearby Parco dell’Appia Antica (Unesco heritage), an unforgettable experience through an authentic ancient Roman road in a suggestive unique area in the world.

RESTAURANTS

In our neighborhood you can walk to many restaurants, bistrot and pizzerias of excellent quality with dishes from the italian and roman culinary culture.

After a beautiful but exhausting day spent walking through the hundred streets and monuments of Rome, you’ll see that you will not want anything better than a good, tasty Pizza in one of the most popular Pizzerias of Rome, right in front of our B&B.

In addition, upon the arrival of each guest, it will be our care to indicate various restaurants of guaranteed quality,located in the most interesting places in the Eternal City, always updated thanks to the help of the precious direct experience of our guests too.

CLASSES

At a walking distance from the B&B, in the same street, in an excellent language institute it is possible to attend numerous and varied courses of Italian language, culture and art, organized for both short and long periods of stay in Rome. Keep walking it is possible to reach in a few minutes a cooking school with special “one day” intensive courses for foreigners.

A few steps from the B&B, in a charming villa, there is the ballet school and the audition room of the famous Rome Opera House. Established in 1928 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious Italian professional schools. Besides, in the nearby Via Taranto, a famous Theater with its dance, acting and music courses. We are also at walking distance to the agency of the Canadian Embassy, for issuing visas.

NIGHTLIFE

San Giovanni has a lot of bistros, breweries and wine bars, but if you are not satisfied and want something more lively, you can walk or with a single Metro stop to the varied, multi-ethnic and impertinent artistic district of Pigneto, so dear to the famous director Pier Paolo Pasolini.

In its many venues (some very famous), soft light and excellent food & wine. We will obviously not fail to point out to our guests the offer that the entire city offers, from cult districts such as Trastevere or Testaccio.
